appleboid is a personal website. Like cavities, I like to think of it as a place to put stuff. This stuff is mostly in the form of photography and writing. The photography has taken off ever since I got my first digital camera - I jumped right in and got a nice one, the Sony DSC F-707. At some point I may try to make the site less a place to put stuff and more a place to visit and spend some time. For now, it's pretty much a random collection. Let me know if you have good ideas for what I can do with it.


The biggest and baddest stuff is in the extensive photo gallery, which includes photos from my undergrad years at Brown University, places around Rhode Island, a road trip across the United States, my grad years at Stanford University (ongoing), places around the Bay Area, and a plethora of experiences and tournaments related to Ultimate Frisbee. I don't have the right equipment to be shooting sports photography, but I try, and am considering upgrading my camera soon.

Miscellaneous writing, mostly poetry. Say hello to highschool, which was when I wrote half of these. Unfortunately, half are also from college, so I guess there's no excuse. For a twist, there's also some poetry from friends of mine (need a place to post your own? I'll put it up).

I've compiled some of my better photos and various graphic and web design and sketch artwork into an online portfolio. I occasionally have time to undertake relatively simple design projects, so I welcome any comments or requests!

Almost everything here is my own work (copyright appleboid 2005), and I'm pretty sure credit is given where it isn't. Photos can be taken directly from the site (700px max dim) and you can use those freely, but requests for larger versions (currently I have up to 1 or 2 Mpx for most - good for up to 8x10s) are subject to usage fees and my own discretion (this holds for writing, artwork, and other image content on the website as well).
